"The feeling of falling in love is common but nevertheless ineffable," the protagonist was told in Reflections Of A Kept Ape, in Ian McEwan's In Between The Sheets.
Just like her, I had to check the dictionary for the meaning of "ineffable".
Words can seem so inadequate sometimes, even when you make a living out of them. Or perhaps especially so.

It's a naughty word right?
it's like "so-and-so is so cute, so-and-so is so effable!"... or conversely, "she's got a nice toosh but chronic halitosis makes her ineffable."
How many points do I get for my ineffort?
